
Balmain Creative Director Olivier Rousteing premiered the first designs from the Balmain Eyewear by Akoni collection during his Paris Fashion Week presentation. Balmain eyewear by Akoni Designs are created by hand in Japan . Master craftsman dedicated decades of their lives to mastering their crafts and passing their knowledge down to their worthy apprentice. The first Balmain Eyewear by Akoni collection was introduced on Balmain’s Fall 2020 runways, with the inaugural eyewear designs highlighted during both the men’s and women’s Paris Fashion Weeks. Since then, Balmain’s Creative Director Olivier Rousteing has enthusiastically embraced the collection—with the eyeglasses forming a key element in multiple Balmain shootings and campaigns, as well as in the designer’s personal wardrobe.
Throughout, Olivier Rousteing’s distinctive spirit and vision are always present in Balmain Eyewear collection. The Akoni Group design team and Olivier worked closely together to ensure that shared sensibility.
